CTV leads again last week's top-10 TV ratings chart. Global National holds the first position with its airing of House, while CBC National achieved a remarkably close second place with the Stanley Cup Finals, aired Monday, Wednesday and Saturday starting at 8pm. CTV's most watched program was its evening newscast at 6, which fell bellow this week's first by almost 1.5 million viewers and got the third position. New reality show Pirate Master (CTV, Thursday 8pm) is getting good results, and On the Lot is once again, nowhere to be found in the top-10 chart.
Last week's top-10 TV ratings chart showed no surprising results and no Canadian programming, once again. According to BBM Canada, on the fourteenth position of the weekly chart, CBC managed to stand strong with the NHL Playoffs, followed by CTV's Evening News at 6, broadcast by CTV National, getting a mark close to its average. CTV held a strong victory in the top-10 chart, obtaining nine of the ten positions. Numbers were up for the week's winner C.S.I., reaching over three million viewers.
No Canadian shows appeared in the top 10 TV programs chart last week. American Idol's Performance night is still at the top of the chart, but reached a slightly lower audience number compared to last week's peak of almost 3 million viewers. House made it to the second place, with close to 2.85 million viewers across Canada. The fact that numbers were so surprisingly close to those of American Idol's, makes it seem as if Canadians were watching Fox's broadcast of both shows rather than CTV and Global's.
